Invocation 04:18
come lantern light, push back the forest and illuminate my way bring me the sound of a familiar tune and a kindly stranger's face come milky moonlight, wrap me in your comforting embrace smooth all the edges and blunt the angles of this foreboding place cause I have been here before and I will be here again come whistling wind and whisper wisdom into my waiting ears grant me the will and the steady fingers to quell these quiet fears and I feel the presence of my father his voice I can almost hear but for the pounding in my chest as the fatal moment nears bend low boy, put your ear to the ground feel the flowing flood that surrounds the faintly falling faraway sound of all things lost that will one day be found and late at night when no one's around I watch the walls come tumbling down even still the echoes resound of all things lost that will one day be found

July 03:01
cheap rum, chewing gum, cherry cola fresh cut grass riding round this little town in an old corolla with July swimming past homemade lemonade, melted chocolate, setting sun disappearing in the clearing, paints us scarlet one by one cause I'm just killing time until it kills me too And I hope you don't mind if I kill time with you footrace, second place, but I don't mind when I lose back here in the rear I always find I get a better view first kiss nervousness, bathing beauty on the sand animal chemicals flowing through me guide my callow hands September seems so far let's stay right where we are we'll ripen in the sun and pray that winter never comes

Symmetry 03:28
it's hard to trust a pretty girl when she looks me in the eyes cause every pretty girl I've known has been so good at telling lies it's hard to trust a pretty boy when he takes me by the hand cause every pretty boy I've known has been a wolf disguised as a lamb there are several things I'm learning in my solitary youth like words can have two meanings but our bodies tell the truth though clumsy and uncouth our bodies tell the truth there's something in the way she moves that pulls me in and won't let go if only I could break the spell I'd stand my ground and tell her no she whispers softly in my ear he lays his hand upon my knee she says the things I want to hear he knows he can get anything he needs yes she's blessed with symmetry but she won't make a fool of me
4.
Fiction 03:04
life ain't like a movie, life ain't like a song sometimes you can't get the things you need there's no poetic justice, no tidy denouement just lonesome hearts and aching hands and feet life ain't like a fable, life ain't like a joke sometimes the bad guy gets away no well-deserved comeuppance, no solemn speeches spoke just the sleepy music of the everyday oh, truth is stranger than fiction and more beautiful too but I can't help this addiction to spinning lies for you life ain't like a novel, life ain't like a poem sometimes we don't learn from our mistakes no reconciliation, no way to go back home just tired sinners trying to catch a break life ain't like a story in a magazine sometimes there's no moral at the end no sudden transformation, no god from the machine but I guess it don't hurt if we pretend

The Flood 06:40
the clouds are blowing in they've been gathering for some time for to wash away our sins for to punish all our crimes there's a poison in our veins there's an evil in our blood so there will come soft rains so there will come a flood after all the seas are risen everything will be forgiven i built a boat that we can live in you're my queen and i'm your captain the warning signs abound but the omens go ignored so let the scoffers drown in the vengeance of the Lord and we'll batten down the hatch when the river starts to swell and if the ship don't last I hope I've loved you well no one will be left except for you and me we'll have to start afresh we'll plant a family tree
